
Esks add former 49'ers linebacker

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announced the signing of import linebacker Quincy Stewart today.
Stewart was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Francisco 49'ers in 2001. He played two seasons for the Niners appearing in 31 games and recorded 21 tackles along with an interception. In 2003, Stewart moved to the New York Jets and appeared in 12 games. He was released in August 2004 by New York and signed with the Minnesota Vikings before being released during training camp in August.
