
Argos get ready for school

Toronto - As Summer winds down, the Toronto Argonauts want to help prepare students for school on the Wednesday, August 24 game vs. the Calgary Stampeders. With a 7:30 p.m. start time and a TSN broadcast, Back to School Day is presented by Reebok and National Sports.
All students 13 years of age and younger will receive a $5 ticket for any 100 level seat at Rogers Centre when a regular priced adult ticket is purchased (maximum of 1 discounted ticket per regular priced ticket purchased, maximum of 4 tickets total, not valid with any other offer). As well, the first 2250 students 13 years and under to enter the gates receive a limited edition Argos pencil case courtesy of National Sports and Reebok.
Kick off duties will be handled by Stephen Clements, National Sports' Vice President, Store Operations, Ontario Region while the coin toss will be performed by Dennis Watson, Reebok's Director of Sales and Marketing and Al and Rachel Libfeld from Tribute Communities. Halftime will feature a performance from students at AB Dance in Markham.
Fans are encouraged to take in the pre-game festivities beginning at 6:00 p.m. surrounding the Rogers Centre. Highlights include the rock band Forgery outside of Gate 5, a Martial Arts demonstration at Gate 11 and the ska band Loki outside of Gate 3. The official pre-game party takes place at Jack Astor's, 144 Front St. W., and features a visit from the Blue Thunder cheerleaders.
Following the game, fans can call into the post-game radio show on 640 Toronto and share their thoughts with play-by-play man Jaime Stein and colour commentator Peter Martin. As well, the official Steelback Post Game Party will be hosted at Forget About It, 325 King Street West, immediately following the game.
The 2004 Grey Cup Champion Toronto Argonauts are North America's oldest professional football club, having celebrated their 130th anniversary in 2003.
