
Eskimos sign two draft picks; o-lineman

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos announced today they have signed two more of their 2006 draft picks and a rookie offensive lineman.
Linebacker J.P Abraham (non-import) was drafted in the 4th round (34th overall) in the 2006 CFL Canadian College Draft. Abraham played in the East-West Bowl in 2005 and was an LFUQ All-Star in 2004. He was part of the Rouge et Or Vanier Cup victories in 2003 and 2004 and played in the Dunsmore Cup in 2003.
Linebacker Andrew Brown (non-import) was drafted in the fourth round (26th overall) in the 2006 CFL Canadian College Draft. He was a four-letter winner defensive end at Lafayette. He finished his college career with 174 tackles, 4.5 sacks, three interceptions, three forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in 45 games.
Offensive lineman D'Anthony Batiste (import) played four years at Lafayette where he was part of an All-Conference offensive line in 2003. Batiste spent the 2004 season playing for the Bossier City BattleWings in the Arena Football 2.
