
Eskimos Sign Canadian Defensive Back

The Edmonton Eskimos have signed free agent defensive back Joel Lipinski, the club announced today.
Lipinski played nine games in 2009 with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, recording one defensive tackle and five special teams tackles. The Regina native was an MVP and AUFC All-Star in 2008 with the Saint Mary ¬â¢s Huskies. From 2004 ¬" ¬â¢06, Lipinski played with the University of Regina where he was named a Canada West All-Star and Second Team All-Canadian in 2005. He was named the Rams ¬â¢ Most Outstanding defensive back in 2005 and ¬â¢06.
