----- Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a five-game losing streak as they take on the Bowie Baysox in the middle game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the Baysox jumped ahead of the 'Wolves 8-0 after three and a half innings and held on for a 9-6 win over the 'Wolves. Erie has lost two straight and three of their last four against Bowie. Despite the 'Wolves struggles in July, the team is only 4.5 games behind second place Harrisburg in the EL West. Today, lefty Jared Wesson takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 15th start and third against the Baysox. Wesson was sent to Lakeland after his start on June 24. In three starts with the Flying Tigers, Wesson was 0-1 with a 3.79 ERA. Wesson took a no-decision in his last start at Port Charlotte on July 11. In the game, he allowed a run on five hits with no walks and three strikeouts in seven innings of work...Righty Mike Wright takes the mound for Bowie making his fourth start and first against Erie. Wright began the season with Class-A Frederick and posted a 5-2 record with a 2.91 ERA in eight starts. His last start came against Reading on July 12. In the game, Wright tossed three scoreless innings allowing one hit with no walks and three strikeouts...The SeaWolves have one more game remaining this homestand on Wednesday afternoon. Erie will hit the road for an eight-game, seven-day road trip to Altoona and Akron. Erie will play a doubleheader on Friday against the Curve.

Bowie is tied for sixth with a .260 team average. - Niuman Romero is tied for third in the league with 108 hits. Romero is ninth in the EL with a .308 average. - Romero is the third-toughest hitter to strike out in the league with one strikeout in every 9.43 place appearances.
