----- Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a three-game home losing streak as they take on the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) in the middle game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the Baysox ended Erie's five-game winning streak, taking down the 'Wolves 8-1 in the series opener. The loss dropped the SeaWolves back to the .500 mark at 34-34. Erie enters play today a half game behind second place Harrisburg in the Western Division...Tonight, James Avery takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 14th start of the season and second against Bowie. Avery has won back-to-back starts and is looking for his second three-game win streak of the season. He beat Bowie on April 21 at Prince George's Stadium. Avery picked up his team-leading seventh win in his last start at Harrisburg on June 14. In the game, he allowed three runs, two earned, on eight hits with two walks and seven strikeouts in seven innings of work. Erie won the game 5-4...Lefty Jake Pettit takes the mound for the Baysox making his 11th appearance, 10th start and second start against the SeaWolves. Pettit beat the SeaWolves on April 12 tossing six innings, allowing a run on five hits in six innings with a walk and two strikeouts. Pettit snapped a string of five straight no-decisions with a win in his last start against Portland on June 14. In the game, he shut out the Sea Dogs for five innings, allowing just one hit with two walks and five strikeouts.
