Fisher Cats Win Fourth Straight, Beat Phils 4-3

(Manchester, NH)----John Tolisano went 3-for-4 with a home run and the Fisher Cats topped the Reading Phillies 4-3 Wednesday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

The Fisher Cats (26-43) plated three runs in the bottom of the first inning and never relinquished the lead en route to a season-best fourth straight win. Tolisano ripped the first pitch of the home first out of the park. His third home run of the season made it 1-0. Ryan Goins doubled and Mark Sobolewski walked, both scoring on a double by Gabe Jacobo.

Reading cut the lead to 3-2 in the top of the second inning. After Brandon Tripp singled, Sebastian Valle homered.

New Hampshire added a run in the bottom of the fifth inning. Tolisano singled, moved to second on a groundout and scored on a single by Ben Francisco for a 4-2 lead.

The R-Phils (39-30) loaded the bases against winning pitcher Fernando Hernandez in the top of the sixth inning on a double, a bunt single and a walk. Scott Gracey came into the game and induced a double play grounder by Brandon Tripp, Tim Kennelly scoring to make it 4-3.

Hernandez (1-4) worked five innings in his third start of the season, allowing three runs on five hits. He walked one and struck out five. Gracey finished off two scoreless innings before turning the game over to Sam Dyson, who finished up for his first pro save by tossing two scoreless frames.

Trevor May (6-5) took the loss for Reading.

The Fisher Cats and Phillies complete the three-game series on Thursday night at 7:05pm. It will be Law Enforcement Night.
