----- Tonight, the SeaWolves look to extend their longest winning streak of the season as they take on the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) in the third game of a four-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, Erie collected a season-high three home runs en route to a 7-3 win over the Curve. Every hit for the SeaWolves was an extra-base hit. Erie has now won three consecutive games over the Curve and have won five of the last seven in the season series...Righty James Avery takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his seventh start of the season second against the Curve. Avery took a loss in his last start at Akron. In the game, he allowed four runs on six hits with two walks and a strikeout in two innings of work. It was his shortest outing of the season. Erie lost the game 4-1. Avery tossed a complete game shutout on May 3 against Altoona...RHP Brandon Cumpton takes the mound for the Curve making his seventh start and third against the SeaWolves. Cumpton is 1-1 in his previous two starts against the 'Wolves. He has won four consecutive games. In his last start against Richmond, Cumpton allowed a run on three hits with a walk and four strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work...The SeaWolves will remain at home following the Altoona series as they welcome Akron for a three-game series beginning on Monday night.

He is tied for the league lead with 13 doubles and is tied for fourth with 15 extra-base hits. - Erie pitchers have walked 154 hitters, the most in the EL. The 'Wolves have also given up 33 home runs which is second-most allowed in the league. - The SeaWolves lead the league with 160 runs scored. - Erie is last in the league with a 4.64 team ERA. Altoona ranks ninth in the league with a 4.03 ERA. - Erie is tied for third in the league with a .262 team batting average. Altoona is 11th with a .248 team average. - Niuman Romero is fourth in the EL with 42 hits. Romero is also the toughest hitter to strike out in the league, striking out just one every 12.17 plate appearances.
