ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a season-long eight game losing streak as they take the field in the middle game of a three-game series against the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles). The eight straight losses is currently the longest losing streak in the league. Erie's longest losing streak last season was four games which was done on two different occasions. The 'Wolves are eight games behind first place Harrisburg after losing 12 of the last 13 games. The Baysox are now 2.5 games behind Harrisburg following last nights 5-3 win over Erie in extra innings...RHP Luis Marte takes the mound for the Howlers, making his Double-A debut. Marte is in his third season of

professional baseball and began the season with Class-A Lakeland. In seven starts for the Flying Tigers, Marte posted a 3-2 record with a 1.98 ERA. He recorded 41

strikeouts in 41.0 innings pitched. His most recent outing came on May 9 at Vero Beach. He took a loss going six innings, allowing three runs on seven hits with a walk and six strikeouts. Marte did now allow more than three earned runs in each of his seven starts...Rightie Jason Berken takes the mound for the Baysox. Berken has won two straight starts and three of his last four. In his most recent outing at New Britain, Berken went six innings, allowing five runs on nine hits with a walk and four strikeouts. Berken faces the 'Wolves on April 6 and is 0-1 against Erie. In the game, he went five innings, allowing two runs on six hits with a walk and two strikeouts.
