Fernando Martinez singled in the go-ahead run in the second, helping the Binghamton Mets to a 5-2 win over the New Britain Rock Cats at NYSEG Stadium Wednesday...Daniel Murphy's two-run homer in the first got the B-Mets on the board. Jonathan Malo singled and scored twice, Salomon Manriquez picked up an RBI single and Ambiorix Concepcion hit two doubles and scored a run...Starter Salvador Aguilar tossed five innings of two-run ball for the win...Binghamton has won a season-high-tying three straight and six of seven.

Binghamton's bullpen hasn't allowed a run since the sixth inning Thu. @ REA, tossing 14 consecutive scoreless innings. Bevis 8/8-10/2004...Binghamton has allowed two runs or fewer in each of the last five games...The B-Mets are in the middle of a stretch that will see them play 10 of 14 at home...Thu. @ REA, Fernando Martinez became the first B-Met with a two-homer game since Brett Harper 8/7/07 vs. TRE...A total of 34,997 fans patronized NYSEG Stadium in April, the best April attendance in club history...One day before the season started, it was announced that the NY Mets and Binghamton have extended their Player Development Contract through the 2010 season. The last contract was due to expire at the end of this season.
