Akron RubberDucks News Release
ALTOONA, PA - The Aeros keep getting dressed up, but they've got nowhere to go.
A night after unplayable field conditions forced the postponement of game one of this three-game series, the playing surface at Blair County Ballpark still wasn't firm enough to play on leading to the postponement on today's scheduled doubleheader. The teams will try it again Thursday morning, with a doubleheader (two seven-inning games) set for 10:35 a.m.
Akron has now gone four straight days without a game, with Sunday's game against Trenton rained out in Akron, a scheduled off-day Monday, and the two rainouts here. Starting pitchers for the twin-bill tomorrow have yet to be announced, but the game broadcast will begin at 10:20 a.m. on SportsRadio 1350 AM and online at www.akronaeros.com. For more information, please call the Aeros at (330) 253-5151.
