ENTERING TODAY'S ACTION...

Today, the SeaWolves look to snap a 12-game losing streak as they take the field in the series finale at NYSEG Stadium against the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets). The 12-game slide is the longest current losing streak in the Eastern League. The B-Mets swept the SeaWolves in doubleheader action on Saturday night by scores of 2-0 and 7-5. The SeaWolves snapped a 23-straight scoreless innings streak at the plate by scoring three runs in the top of the third inning of game two on Saturday. The streak of 23 straight scoreless inning was the longest of the season for the Howlers. The B-Mets have won six straight games and sit a game under .500 in fifth place in the Northern Division. Erie, with just one win in the month of May, has fallen from second place in the Southern Division to sixth at 11.5 games behind first place Harrisburg...Lefite Danny Christensen takes the mound today for Erie. Christensen is in search of his first win of the season. He pitched well in his last outing, only to take a no-decision on May 13 at Bowie. In the game, he went five scoreless before giving up three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. He walked three and struck out two in the game...RHP Bobby Parnell takes the mound for the B-Mets, making his ninth start of the season. Parnell has won three straight games after starting the season 0-2. In his lone start against Erie on April 10, Parnell went 4.2 innings, allowing four runs on three hits with six walks and a strikeout and he took a no-decision.
