Altoona Curve News Release
HARRISBURG- Sunday's scheduled Altoona Curve game against the Harrisburg Senators (AA/Washington Nationals) has been postponed due to heavy rains at Commerce Bank Park in Harrisburg. Only one of the three scheduled games between the Curve and Senators was played. In addition to Sunday's rainout, the two clubs had both Friday's series opener and the second game of Saturday's doubleheader wiped away by rain. Overall, Altoona has had seven of its last 10 scheduled games postponed.
This weekend's two rainouts at Harrisburg will be made up as part of doubleheaders at Commerce Bank Park on Saturday, July 26 at 5:05 p.m. and Thursday, August 7 at 5:35 p.m.
The Curve will continue their week-long road trip with a four-day visit to Akron starting Monday. Altoona will open a four-game set against the Aeros (AA/Cleveland Indians) with a 7:05 p.m. game Monday evening at Canal Park. Following the completion of the series in Akron, the Curve will return to Blair County Ballpark on Friday to open a Memorial Day weekend series against the Trenton Thunder (AA/New York Yankees).
