Today, the SeaWolves will try their luck once again at snapping a lengthy losing streak as they look to avoid a sweep, taking on the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) in the final game of a three-game series at People's Natural Gas Field. Last night, Erie held a one-run lead in the ninth inning with one out, but Edgar De La Rosa allowed a pair of walks and a two-out, walkoff home run, sending Erie to its 11th straight defeat...Erie's last win came on April 18 at Bowie. The win that day put the 'Wolves two-games above .500... Lefty Josh Turley takes the mound for Erie making his fourth start and first against the Curve. Turley made two starts against the Curve in 2014 posting a 1-0 record and 2.45 ERA. Turley took a loss in his last start against Bowie on April 27. In the game, he allowed two runs on eight hits with a walk and four strikeouts in six innings of work. Erie was shut out in the game 4-0...RHP Jason Creasy takes the mound for the Curve making his fifth start and first against Erie. Creasy has earned wins in consecutive starts. In his most recent start against Akron on April 27, Creasy allowed a season-high four runs on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts in five innings of work. Prior to that start, the Altoona righty had not allowed more than one earned run in his prior three starts.
