----- Tonight, the SeaWolves begin an eight-game road trip as they take on the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) in the opener of a four-game series at Canal Park. The SeaWolves finished a tough homestand on Monday with an 11-5 loss to Binghamton. Erie finished the month of June just 4-9 at home. It was the club's worst home month since going 0-12 in June in 2010...The SeaWolves are two games under .500 entering play today and the club is 1.5 games behind second place Harrisburg in the Western Division...Today, lefty Ramon Garcia takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 13th appearance, 12th start and fourth start against the Aeros. Garcia has alternated wins and losses in his last eight starts. He is 3-0 in three starts against Akron. Garcia took a loss in his last start against Bowie on June 21. In the game, he allowed five runs, three earned, on seven hits with two walks and three strikeouts in three innings of work. Erie lost the game 8-5...Lefty Giovanni Soto takes the mound for Akron making his 14th start and third start against the SeaWolves. The former Tigers farmhand took a no-decision in his last start against Binghamton on June 21 allowing two runs on three hits with three walks and a strikeout in five innings of work. Soto has dropped both of his starts against the SeaWolves. At Canal Park, Soto is 3-1 with a 3.80 ERA in nine starts...The SeaWolves will play four games in Akron and four games in Harrisburg on the current road trip. Erie has won five straight road games.
