The Reading Fightin Phils dropped 8-3 to the Erie SeaWolves on Thursday night. Reading has lost six straight contests.

Vito Friscia, Logan O'Hoppe, and Jhailyn Ortiz all had two-hit games, while Simon Muzziotti launched his third home run of the season.

Erie got on the board first with an Andre Lipscius homer in the first.

The Fightins tied it up at one apiece in the second. A groundout from Kevin Vicuna sent home Wendell Rijo.

Erie was back again in the bottom half as Andrew Navigato batted home a run.

Reading tied it up once more on Friscia's RBI single to score Muzziotti.

Again, the SeaWolves were there this time with a solo shot off the bat of Dillon Dingler making it 3-2.

Erie put their go-ahead run on with Lipscius sending home Luis Carpio.

The SeaWolves poured it on in the sixth with home runs from Dane Myers and Michael de la Cruz. After a four-spot, they led 8-2.

The R-Phils final run came from Muzziotti's second homer of the series, a deep fly ball to right center. Reading had the bases loaded in the eighth but couldn't put a run across.

Noah Skirrow got the start throwing four and a third innings allowing five hits and four runs, three earned. He struck out seven. Skirrow left with a runner on.

Braden Zarbnisky inherited that runner and walked a batter but got a big double play ball to end the frame. Zarbnisky let up four runs on five hits and a walk in the sixth including two long balls.

Tyler McKay pitched two and two thirds innings. McKay inherited a runner in the sixth but got out of the inning clean. The righty had a baserunner in each of his next two frames but put up zeroes on the scoreboard.
