Eric Roy Joins the Heat

Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat announced today that they have signed defenceman Eric Roy to a contract.

Roy, a native of Beauval, Saskatchewan, played in 66 games with the Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL) this season, and registered 44 points (11-33-44) and 51 penalty minutes. Roy was selected in the fifth round (135th overall) by the Calgary Flames in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

The Heat wrap up their regular season schedule with a three game road trip that kicks off Thursday, April 17th at 5:00 PM PST against the San Antonio Rampage (AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers).
