
Blackhawks Recall Goaltender Mac Carruth

Rockford, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled goaltender Mac Carruth from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Carruth, 22, has split the season between the IceHogs, and the ECHL's Toledo Walleye and Florida Everblades. He posted a 2-2-1 record with a 3.36 goals-against average and a .880 save percentage in seven games with Rockford. Carruth also earned an 8-15-0 mark, with one shutout, a 3.36 GAA and a .898 save percentage in 25 appearances with Toledo and a 2-4-1 record with a 3.45 GAA and a .874 save percentage in seven games with Florida.
Prior to his professional career, the Salt Lake City, Utah, native posted a 117-46-6 record, with 11 shutouts, a 2.84 GAA and a .910 save percentage over four seasons with the Western Hockey League's Portland Winterhawks from 2009 to 2013. Carruth was named a WHL West First-Team All-Star following the 2012-13 campaign, while helping the Winterhawks to a WHL championship and a berth in the Memorial Cup Tournament.
Carruth was selected by the Blackhawks in the seventh round, 191st overall, of the 2010 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
Next Home Game: Friday, April 18 against the Chicago Wolves. The puck drops at 7 p.m. with the first 1,500 fans receiving an IceHogs beach towel courtesy of Peak Fitness.
