
Engle Added to Buccaneers Roster

Des Moines Buccaneers 2023 Phase I Draft Pick Edison Engle has been added to the team's roster for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
Engle is a 2007-born left-shot defenseman from Arlington Heights, IL. Engle (6'1 // 168 lbs.) is committed to Ohio State University (Big Ten) and was selected in the 2nd round of the 2023 USHL Phase I Draft, 20th overall.
"We are extremely excited for Edison to join us for the remainder of the season," said Des Moines head coach and general manager Matt Curley. "Edison is a great young man who brings tremendous upside and will represent the Buccaneers organization in a positive way on and off the ice."
Engle comes from the Chicago Reapers AAA program where he's played since 2021, posting 29 points in 29 games for the 16U Reapers this season on 7 goals and 22 assists. Engle also participated in the USA Selects camp alongside multiple other Buccaneers affiliates in the summer of 2023.
Engle is eligible to play immediately for the Buccaneers, who are in action on the road this weekend visiting the Fargo Force.
