Team USA Routs Latvia in Quarterfinal Game at 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship

Gothenburg, Sweden - Team USA routed Latvia 7-2 in quarterfinal action at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship in Gothenburg, Sweden Tuesday.

The Americans, who owned a 41-25 advantage in shots on goal and never trailed, received two goals and an assist from Gabe Perreault (USA Hockey NTDP 2021-23) and three assists from Seamus Casey (USA Hockey NTDP 2020-22) in the victory.

Drew Fortescue (USA Hockey NTDP 2021-23), Danny Nelson (USA Hockey NTDP/Green Bay 2021-23), Rutger McGroarty (USA Hockey NTDP 2020-22), Will Smith (USA Hockey NTDP 2021-23) and Oliver Moore (USA Hockey NTDP 2021-23) also scored for USA Hockey.

Team USA, which features 22 former USHL players on its roster, got a 23-save performance from goaltender Jacob Fowler (Youngstown 2021-23) in the win.
