Energy FC Host Penultimate Home Match Tomorrow Night
September 21, 2019 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
OKC Energy FC News Release
Energy FC (11th, 9-10-10, 37 points) are back at home after suffering a 3-1 loss away to San Antonio FC last Saturday. Deshorn Brown scored his team-leading 13th goal in the defeat.
Next up is a matchup with Western Conference rival Sacramento Republic FC (4th, 13-11-4, 43 points). Sacramento got the better of OKC in the first meeting of the season on March 24, as Bryan Byars filled in for Cody Laurendi while the latter was away on national team duty.
OKC holds a slight advantage in the all-time head-to-head record with five wins, four losses and two draws, including a 4-1-1 record at home.
It was announced this week that Rafael Garcia will be sidelined for the next few weeks as the midfielder recovers from knee surgery, but the squad has been bolstered by the signings of MLS veteran Chris Duvall and midfielder Ian McGrath.
Deshorn Brown still leads OKC with 13 goals, Omar Gordon has the most assists with seven, and Cody Laurendi is now at a league-leading 91 saves.
