
Energy defeat Idaho Stampede 114-106

DES MOINES, Iowa, February 11, 2009- Central Division leader, the Iowa Energy, defeated the Idaho Stampede 114 to 106 on Sunday night at Wells Fargo Arena. The Energy increased their record to 17-7 in front of a crowd of 3,484.
Six members of the Energy team scored in double digits, including Othyus Jeffers (25 points), Courtney Sims (23 points), Demetris Nichols (16 points) Brian Evans (15 points), and Patrick Sanders (11 points). Sims also contributed a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds, as well as Curtis Stinson with 14 points and 10 assists.
Luke Jackson led the Stampede squad with a triple-double, contributing 21 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds. Also scoring in double digits were Roberto Bergesen (23 points), Dwayne Jones (18 points, 11 rebounds), Jamaal Tatum (15 points), and Mildon Ambres (10 points).
The Energy will host the Erie BayHawks as they continue their home stand Wednesday, February 11th at 7 p.m.
