
Emeralds Set for Red White and Boom Celebration

EUGENE, OR - Freedom. Fireworks. Baseball. Now that's an American celebration! The Eugene Emeralds are inviting you to come out to PK Park on July 3! It will be the finale of a three game series against the second-place Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. First pitch is at 7:35 p.m. and the gates open at 6:00!
This year, the Ems have partnered with The Viridian Brass. After the game, fans should be sure to stick around to enjoy a special Fireworks show accompanied by a quintet of brass musicians. This patriotic show is presented by Kendall Auto Group.
The Kendall Community Spotlight will be Volunteers in Medicine, an organization that provides primary health care, routine physicals, women's health care, behavioral health care, diabetes management and counseling, physical therapy, specialty care and referrals to specialists, respiratory therapy and smoking cessation.
The Eugene Emeralds are the short-season Class A team of the Chicago Cubs. In 2015, six of the top 30 Cubs prospects spent time in Eugene including Ian Happ, Donnie Dewees and Eloy Jimenez. With 61 years, the Emeralds are the longest tenured and only founding member remaining in the Northwest League.
