
Dust Devils Tied for First Place After Second Straight Win over Canadians

The Tri-City Dust Devils (8-5) were dominant in every aspect of the game on Wednesday night as the team came away with the 10-1 victory over the Vancouver Canadians (7-6). With the win the Dust Devils are now tied for first place in the Northwest League's North Division with the Everett AquaSox.
Tri-City's pitching staff was outstanding against the Canadians. For the second straight night the Dust Devils limited Vancouver to only one run. Will Headean (2-0) earned the win after allowing one hit and no runs in five innings of work. The Canadians finished the night with only three hits.
At the plate Luis Asuncion continued his hitting streak, which has grown to 11 games. Asuncion's streak is the longest active in the NWL and tied for the longest overall this season. He had three hits and scored one the team's ten runs.
Tri-City will look for the sweep over Vancouver on Thursday night. The Dust Devils will send right-hander Jordan Guererro to the mound. The Canadians will counter with right-hander Patrick Murphy.
