The El Paso Chihuahuas took out the Albuquerque Isotopes 8-1 Friday night and won the series three games to one. El Paso's victory, combined with the Salt Lake Bees' loss, puts the Chihuahuas in second place, two games out of first with 16 games remaining in the Pacific Coast League season.

The Chihuahuas brought home a run on Christian Villanueva's RBI double in the first inning, the fourth time in the last six games El Paso scored in the first inning. Nick Buss went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs and is now batting .357. Jose Rondon hit two doubles in his return to the lineup Friday after a month-long stint on the DL. Rafael Ortega went 3-for-5 with a double leading off for the Chihuahuas.

El Paso has won two of its last three series. Friday was the final game between the Chihuahuas and Albuquerque this season, with both teams winning eight of the 16 matchups. El Paso pitching held Albuquerque to only nine runs in the four-game series.
