Hudson Valley Renegades News Release

Jeremy Vasquez homered off Nelson Alvarez to give the Brooklyn Cyclones a 5-4 win over the Hudson Valley Renegades on Saturday night at Maimonides Park.

The Renegades had come back from down 2-0 to tie the game on two wild pitches by Brooklyn starter Alec Kisena. A sixth-inning single by Pablo Olivares gave the Gades a 3-2 before Brooklyn answered in the bottom of the inning to regain the lead.

The see-saw teetered in the seventh Austin Wells drove in Everson Periera on a single to right. However, the Cyclones came right back to tie the game before the Vasquez home run in the eighth.

Alvarez (3-2) took the loss while Evy Ruibal (1-0) earned the win. Joe Cavallaro notched his first save.

James Nelson had three hits in the loss. The Renegades (53-30) have lost two in a row and will try for the series clincher on Sunday.

Per the State of New York, the Renegades are now open at 100% capacity. Tickets continue to be a tremendous value starting as low as $6. Visit HVRenegades.com for ticket information and so much more.
