
Efficient Offense Leads to 6-2 Win

Modesto Nuts News Release
Modesto, CA. - An early strike by the Modesto Nuts' offense supported Parker French in a 6-2 win over the Lake Elsinore Storm on Sunday night at John Thurman Field.
Omar Carrizales and Forrest Well smacked back-to-back doubles on the first two pitches from Storm (9-9; 41-47) starter Enyel De Los Santos (L, 1-3) to take a quick lead. Collin Ferguson ripped a RBI single on the eighth pitch of the inning. Drew Weeks capped the four-run rally with a two-run double.
Emerson Jimenez added a sac fly for the Nuts (6-12, 32-56) in the fourth. Wes Rogers recorded a RBI double in the seventh. Carrizales collected three hits with two doubles.
Parker French (W, 5-6) worked around seven hits and allowed just two runs in six innings. Jimenez ended a threat in the sixth with a running scoop and throw, just after Ty France drove in their first run on a RBI double. French did not walk a batter and struck out four.
De Los Santo went 5.2 innings with five runs on eight hits.
