SALT LAKE CITY - Jared Wilson-Frame struggled to shoot the ball through the first 47:20 of the Stars game against the Iowa Wolves on Monday night. All of those struggles were washed away as he launched a high-arching 26-foot three pointer from the top of the key that splashed through the bottom of the net and gave the Stars a 111-109 lead with 40.6 left to play, allowing the Stars to come away with a 113-109 victory over the Wolves.

Carsen Edwards continued to score the ball at a high clip as he poured in 38 points, while knocking down a career-high eight shots from beyond the arch to go along with eight assists. In the last two games, both against the Wolves, Edwards is averaging 37.0 points and seven assists.

For the first time this season, the Stars started Marques Bolden and Yoeli Childs together and the big man duo did not disappoint. Bolden and Childs protected the rim and cleaned the glass throughout the evening, forcing the Wolves into difficult shots in the paint and helping force Iowa into 20 turnovers, which the Stars converted into 28 points.

Bolden finished the night with 18 points and eight rebounds and Childs added 22 points and nine rebounds.

Minnesota Timberwolves assignment player, Leandro Bolmaro, along with Vincent Edwards and Chris Silva led the Wolves with 17 points each, while Brian Bowen II added 15 points off the bench.

The Stars and Wolves will meet for a rubber match on Wednesday night after the teams split their previous two matchups (Feb. 23 and Feb. 28). Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Tickets for the Stars and Wolves third and final showdown of the 2021-22 season are still available at SLCStars.com or by phone (call or text) at (801) 325-STAR (7827). All Stars home games can be heard locally on 97.5/1280 AM The Zone.
