Edmonton Road Runners News Release

The Edmonton Road Runners will usher in the New Year with two games against the Cleveland Barons this weekend. The two teams will face off at Rexall Place on New Year's Eve (Friday) at 7:00 p.m. and New Year's Day (Saturday) at 2:00 p.m.

New Year's Eve will feature a climate-controlled celebration for the whole family. Everyone at the game will be eligible to win one of six pairs of tickets to see the upcoming Hilary Duff concert from a Rexall Place Executive Suite, while one fan will win the chance to meet Hilary Duff in person. Following the game, fans are invited to stay and ring in the New Year early with Razzle, the Road Runners mascot, as he hosts an indoor fireworks musical.

On Saturday, families are invited to bring their skates and helmets to the game and then join the Road Runners players for a post-game skate on Rexall Place ice.

The Road Runners have designated January as Family Month, and every home game during the month will feature Edmonton Sun Family Packs. Road Runners fans can purchase four tickets, four hot dogs and four soft drinks for only $64 for any game in January.

Tickets to the Road Runners New Year's Eve and all January home games, including Edmonton Sun Family Packs, are available at all Ticketmaster ticket outlets, or by calling (780) 414-GOAL.
