Binghamton Senators News Release

BINGHAMTON - The Binghamton Senators encourage all of their fans and the Southern Tier community to join the team at an American Red Cross blood drive on Tuesday, Jan. 4 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Players will be on hand to meet donors and sign autographs during the drive at the American Red Cross Blood Center located at 26 Court St. in downtown Binghamton. Donors will receive a Senators t-shirt and are invited to bring their children.

"We are grateful for the support to the blood program by the Senators team and their participation makes a huge difference," said Laurie Hubik, district marketing manager of blood services for the American Red Cross Blood Services New York-Penn Region. "Type O negative blood is currently at especially low levels," she added.

This is the third consecutive year that the Senators have participated in a blood drive with the American Red Cross. Anyone who would like to give blood this year should call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE or visit www.donatebloodnow.org.

The New York-Penn Region provides blood products to nearly 120 hospitals in upstate New York.
