Bruins sign Dana Lattery

The Providence Bruins announced today that they have signed left wing Dana Lattery to a professional tryout agreement. He will be with the team tonight in Springfield, when the Bruins take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. (WDDZ AM-550; www.providencebruins.com).

Lattery, a 25-year-old native of Cochrane, Alberta, had been the leading scorer for the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL), posting 10-13-23 totals and 31 PIM in 26 games. He was tied for sixth in scoring among ECHL rookies. Lattery has also played one AHL game this season, earning an assist in his AHL debut with the Utah Grizzlies on December 18.

Lattery played four years at Western Michigan University (CCHA) from 2000-04, posting 65-55-120 totals and 218 PIM in 140 career games. He served as the Broncos' captain from 2001-04. Lattery was a college teammate of Bruin winger David Gove in 2000-01, during Gove's senior season.

The Bruins play their next six games on the road, before returning home to host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday, January 14 at 7:05 p.m. and the Worcester IceCats on Sunday, January 16 at 4:05 p.m.
