San Jose Earthquakes News Release
The San Jose Earthquakes concluded their preseason camp in Santa Barbara by defeating Ventura County Fusion 2-0 last Friday. The Quakes have now returned to San Jose to prepare for their next preseason match vs. USL Championship expansion side Monterey Bay FC at PayPal Park on Thursday, Feb. 10.

MISCELLANOUS NOTES
Earthquakes Unveil Second Team Information
The San Jose Earthquakes unveiled information regarding the club's new second team. The team will be referred to as Earthquakes II, or Quakes II, and will begin play in MLS NEXT Pro in 2022 under head coach Alex Covelo. Earthquakes II will wear the same kits as the first team and feature a similar logo that is only differentiated by a small second team mark on the lower left side. The roster will be comprised of young first team players, amateur Quakes Academy players, and players signed directly to second team contracts. More information about the roster will be announced soon. Quakes II will play 24 regular season matches in 2022, split evenly between home and away, with home matches taking place at PayPal Park in San Jose.
ACADEMY UPDATE
The Quakes Academy Boys' U15s (2-1) and U17s (8-0) defeated Diablo Valley last Saturday. The Academy Boys' U14s and U13s will next face Sheriffs FC this Saturday, Feb. 12 at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., respectively.
