Bank of America Stadium Renovations Ready to Make their Debut
February 7, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Charlotte FC News Release
A little over 10 months ago, Tepper Sports & Entertainment (TSE) announced the plans to renovate Bank of America to provide fans and players alike the best-in-class stadium experience. Renovations began in mid-March of 2021 and will debut at the Charlotte FC inaugural home match on March 5th versus LA Galaxy.
The approximately $50 million project includes the addition of a 211-foot-wide single LED screen, an improved Lowe's East Gate leading to an upgraded main concourse, The Vault - a new premium club space, including field-level searing for events, as well as the soccer-specific locker rooms and central player tunnel for Charlotte FC.
Mint Street LED Display
Impossible to miss is the new Mint Street LED display that measures 11 feet high by 211 feet wide and features 6-millimeter pixel spacing. The convex, curved downward tilted canopy display is one of the longest non-transparent and largest downward-titled exteriors displays at a professional sports stadium.

Lowe's East Gate/Upgraded Main Concourse
The Lowe's East Gate - the most-used entrance at Bank of America Stadium for all events - was previously upgraded to improve pedestrian traffic flow while maintaining safety and security to the newly upgraded main concourse area.
The improved main concourses house five new grab-and-go markets and two new large bars with multiple taps which will aid in keeping service quick and allow fans to get to their seats quickly.
Adorning the new bars will be two 360-degree LED displays, which measure approximately 10 feet high by 130 feet around, to provide seamless viewing experience of live video, highlights, and replays never keeping fans away from the action.
For Charlotte FC matches, the Lowe's East Gate will serve as the main entrance for fans located in the team' supporter's section and be an iconic end point for the supporters' march to each match.
The Vault
The Vault is the latest all-inclusive, premium club area offering at Bank of America Stadium joining The Gallery (opened in 2020). The exclusive Vault experience includes reserved field-side cushioned seats and access to the private indoor lounge, prime all-inclusive food and beverage options including a full-service bar, concierge service and dedicated game day entrance.
The Vault has field seating for approximately 150 fans for Charlotte FC matches and 100 fans for the Carolina Panthers games with the option to host additional fans in the private indoor lounge. For Charlotte FC matches, patrons of The Vault will enjoy a behind-the-scenes, within arm's length view of the home club's players' walk from the locker room onto the pitch.
Charlotte FC Locker Room & Team Areas
Included in the renovations are soccer specific upgrades that provide a permanent and best-in-class presence for Charlotte FC with a player locker room, player lounge, Atrium training and sports medicine suite, and an office suite.
The new 2,600 square foot Charlotte FC locker room features 30 player lockers with integrated back-lit logo, USB charging ports, embroidered locker seats, a glass coaching wall and eight high-definition screens. Adjacent to the locker room is the boot room as well as private restroom/shower area with spa finishes.
The player lounge includes a residential style kitchen, a "living room" area, and media wall as well as bar-height banquette seating with charging and connectivity built in.
The Atrium training/sports medicine suite includes private offices for club trainers, individual exam and massage rooms, and a hydrotherapy room with hot and cold plunge pools. Also included in the team areas are coaches' offices and board room with ultramodern technology as well as locker rooms and showers for male and female staff.
The recent state-of-the-art renovations are a testament to Tepper Sports & Entertainment continued commitment to investing in Bank of America Stadium to provide their teams the best chance to win while also making the building a hub for entertainment and a community asset.
