San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes and Real Salt Lake played to a 2-2 draw on Saturday at PayPal Park. Forward Jeremy Ebobisse scored his 12th goal of the season, setting a new single-season career-high, while midfielder Cristian Espinoza tallied one goal and one assist, earning MLS Team of the Week honors.
The Earthquakes are now preparing for two matches this week, first hosting Inter Miami CF at PayPal Park in their first-ever matchup on Wednesday, Aug. 3, before traveling to Texas to face Austin FC on Saturday, Aug. 6.
Wednesday's match, presented by PayPal, will kick off from PayPal Park at 7:30 p.m. PT, while Saturday's game will begin from Q2 Stadium at 6 p.m. PT. The two matchups will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California Plus, KNBR 1050 (English), and 1370 KZSF (Spanish).

Forward Jeremy Ebobisse scored his 12th goal of the season and the 39th of his MLS career. He ranks tied for fourth in MLS with 12 goals this season and he has now set a new single-season career-high.
Goal + Assist Contributor
Midfielder Cristian Espinoza tallied his sixth goal of the season and his eighth assist of the season. Espinoza is now one of three players in MLS with 6+ goals and 8+ assists this season (Luciano Acosta - CIN, Carlos Vela - LAFC).
50 MLS Appearances
Defender Tanner Beason made his 50th MLS appearance on Saturday, starting and playing 90 minutes. Beason was selected by San Jose in the first round (12th overall) of the 2020 MLS SuperDraft.

The Quakes will face Inter Miami CF in their first-ever MLS matchup at PayPal Park on Wednesday. Miami joined the league prior to the 2020 MLS season.
California Love
Saturday will mark Inter Miami CF's second MLS match ever in California. Miami fell to LAFC 1-0 in its inaugural match in March 2020.
Duelo Argentino
San Jose's Cristian Espinoza and Miami's Gonzalo Higuain will face each other on Wednesday. Espinoza will enter the match after tallying one goal and one assist on Saturday, while Higuain scored three goals over the weekend. The two players both earned MLS Team of the Week honors, with Higuain earning MLS Player of the Week recognition.

Midfielder Cristian Espinoza Selected to MLS Team of the Week
San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Cristian Espinoza has been selected to Major League Soccer's Team of the Week for Week 23 following the Earthquakes' 2-2 draw against Real Salt Lake last Saturday. Espinoza tallied one goal and one assist on Saturday and is now one of three players in MLS with 6+ goals and 8+ assists this season (Luciano Acosta - CIN, Carlos Vela - LAFC). The Team of the Week honor is Espinoza's second of the season and seventh of his MLS career.
Earthquakes Announce Kickoff Time and Broadcast Information for Rescheduled California Clasico
The San Jose Earthquakes announced last Tuesday that the California Clasico vs. the LA Galaxy at Stanford Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 24 will kick off at 7 p.m. PT and be broadcast live on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050 (English) and 1370 KZSF (Spanish). The match was originally scheduled to be played on June 25 but was rescheduled following a power outage at Stanford University. Tickets for the California Clasico are available .
Three Quakes Academy Players Selected to Inaugural MLS NEXT All-Star Game
Three members of the Quakes Academy were selected to the 2022 MLS NEXT All-Star Game presented by Allstate: defender Drew Murray, midfielder Cruz Medina, and goalkeeper Emi Ochoa. San Jose is one of only three MLS clubs to have three selections.

Aug. 5, 2021 - Acquired forward Jeremy Ebobisse from the Portland Timbers
The San Jose Earthquakes announced on Aug. 5, 2021, the acquisition of forward Jeremy Ebobisse from the Portland Timbers in exchange for $667k of General Allocation Money (GAM) in 2022 and $500k of GAM in 2023. Ebobisse, 25, has tallied 13 goals and two assists in 33 appearances since joining San Jose, and has scored a single-season career-high 12 goals so far this season.
EARTHQUAKES II UPDATE
Earthquakes II defeated Real Monarchs 3-1 on Sunday at PayPal Park. Quakes II are now 6-1-1 in their last eight matches and are just three points below the playoff line in the Western Conference.
Quakes II will host the Tacoma Defiance in their second of three straight home games on Friday, Aug. 5. Kickoff from PayPal Park is scheduled for 6 p.m. PT and the match will be broadcast live on MLSNEXTPro.com .
