
Earthquakes Host LAFC Tonight

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (5-11-9; 24 pts.) will face first-place Los Angeles Football Club (18-4-3; 57 pts.) at PayPal Park in San Jose, Calif. tonight at 7 p.m. PT. The match will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050 (English) and 1370 KZSF (Spanish).
LAFC are the top team in Major League Soccer, failing to win just seven of their 25 matches to date. LAFC has the league's No. 1 offense (goals per game) and No. 2 defense (goals allowed per game). The club is led by Cristian Arango and Carlos Vela, who lead the team with 12 goals and nine assists, respectively. The team also features newcomers Gareth Bale and Giorgio Chiellini, two FIFA World Cup veterans. LAFC has won seven consecutive matches as well as 11 of their last 13 (11-1-1).
Since 2020, San Jose holds a 4-2-0 record against LAFC, scoring at least two goals in five of the six meetings. Quakes forward Jeremy Ebobisse ranks tied for third in MLS with 14 goals this season and has scored in three of San Jose's last four games.
