San Jose Earthquakes News Release

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (5-3-3; 18 pts.) will face the LA Galaxy (1-6-3; 6 pts.) tonight at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. The match kicks off at 6:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app and on FOX Sports 1, as well as on local radio via 810 AM The Spread (English) and 1370 KZSF (Spanish).

San Jose is looking for their first road win of the season after a 2-1 win over LAFC last week at Levi's Stadium. The Earthquakes hold recent success at Dignity Health Sports Park, having won three of the past four matches against the Galaxy in Carson. The Quakes defeated LA Galaxy 3-2 in their last game at Dignity Health Sports Park on July 13, 2022.

The Earthquakes are led by Landon Donovan MLS MVP candidate Cristian Espinoza, who scored twice last weekend to pass his MLS career-high in goals in a season (8) and tie for first in goals in MLS this season alongside LAFC's Denis Bouanga and Seattle's Jordan Morris. Jeremy Ebobisse will also look to extend his scoring streak at LA to six. No player in MLS history has scored in six straight road regular season matches against a single opponent.

The LA Galaxy currently sits in 14th place in the Western Conference and have won just one match in ten games. Despite their struggles, the Galaxy are coming from a 3-1 U.S. Open Cup victory over Seattle Sounders FC last week. The squad's attack is led by Mexican striker Javier 'Chicharito' Hernández and former FC Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig, who combine for two goals and one assist in their last three MLS matches.
