LA Galaxy Mascot Cozmo Nominated for the 2023 Mascot Hall of Fame

LOS ANGELES - Cozmo, the mascot of the LA Galaxy, is one of 18 mascots that have been nominated for inclusion into the 2023 Mascot Hall of Fame, with voting beginning today, Sunday, May 14. Fans can vote once per day per device at https://mascothalloffame.com/2023-mascot-hall-of-fame-nominees.

During Cozmo's tenure as the Galaxy's mascot, which began in 2003, the club has won four MLS Cups (2005, 2011, 2012, 2014) and two Supporters' Shield titles (2010, 2011). Cozmo has been a fixture in the community working alongside the LA Galaxy Foundation, making over 100 community appearances annually and bringing smiles to Galaxy fans all over world. Notably, Cozmo is the first-ever MLS mascot to be nominated to the Mascot Hall of Fame vote.

In an effort to bring joy to fans at Dignity Health Sports Park and in living rooms all over the world, Cozmo has skydived out of a plane on the Fourth of July, brought his mother CozMom out to the stadium for Mother's Day, appeared in two "This is SportsCenter" commercials with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Giovanni dos Santos and was featured in the EA SPORTS™ FIFA 23 video game, in addition to countless other antics.

The Mascot Hall of Fame is dedicated to honoring and celebrating the world's most beloved mascots. Since its inception, the Hall of Fame has inducted over 20 mascots, recognizing their contributions to sports and entertainment. The Mascot Hall of Fame Executive Committee has announced the official ballot for its highly anticipated annual event, The VOTE! - a competition that will determine which mascots will be inducted into the prestigious Mascot Hall of Fame. This year's ballot features 18 nominees from a wide range of professional sports teams, collegiate programand independent organizations.

The 2023 nominees include 10 major league mascots, one minor league mascot, six NCAA mascots and one independent. Each nominee is recognized for their outstanding performance and dedication to their respective teams and communities.

Voting for The VOTE! begins on Sunday, May 14, and fans can cast one ballot per device per day at the Mascot Hall of Fame's official website: https://mascothalloffame.com/2023-mascot-hall-of-fame-nominees. Voting will remain open until Saturday, May 27, and the winners will be announced at the Cue the Confetti Fundraiser at the Mascot Hall of Fame on June 23, 2023.
