The Quakes Foundation has supported local programs that align with its mission since 2008, focusing on those that have an emphasis on health and fitness. In 2016, it was recognized by the Silicon Valley Business Journal with the Community Impact Award, which honors businesses or organizations that have made exceptional philanthropic contributions, especially in the fields of education, healthcare and the arts.

Most recently, the Quakes Foundation raised $40,000 for the flood relief efforts in San Jose. The fundraiser received contributions of $14,830 from the general public, which was matched by the Earthquakes in full. An additional $10,000 donated by the Oakland Athletics saw the total rise to $39,660. The Quakes then contributed the final $340 to bring the total to $40,000.

The Quakes Foundation also serves the community through continual programs, including Get Earthquakes Fit, presented by Sutter Health. A five-week program, Get Earthquakes Fit encourages third and fourth graders to step up their physical activity in the classroom and at home. During the 2016 season, the program expanded to 40 schools across the Bay Area, quadrupling the number from the year prior.

Another new addition for the Foundation is the integration of the Gesture platform, which will streamline fundraising campaigns.
