San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes will have a chance to take over the Western Conference and Supporters' Shield leads when they face Real Salt Lake on Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah.
San Jose's 2-1 win against the Colorado Rapids coupled with Real Salt Lake's 3-2 loss against the LA Galaxy on Wednesday means the Quakes are just two points back of their hosts with one game in hand.
The Earthquakes defeated RSL 3-1 in their first meeting of the season on April 21 at Buck Shaw Stadium. Khari Stephenson, Simon Dawkins and Chris Wondolowski found the net for San Jose with Dawkins' game winner coming two minutes into second-half stoppage time.
The match kicks off at 6 p.m. PT on Comcast SportsNet California, 1590 KLIV and 1370 KZSF.
