Burlington- IA - A four run first inning propelled the Bees to a 5- 2 win over Bowling Green on Thursday night at Community Field
The Bees continued their trend of early offense with a four run first inning Eric Aguilera gave the Bees a 2- 0 lead after doubling in a pair with a liner into left Two batters later it was Anthony Bemboom doubling to left scoring two more runs giving the Bees a 4- 0 lead
Mike Fish made it 5- 0 in the bottom of the second inning smoking a triple of the right field wall scoring Chad Hinshaw
Bees pitching took care of the rest allowing just two Bowling Green runs After an RBI triple by Hot Rods' second baseman Kean Wong the Bees pitching staff retired 16 Bowling Green hitters in a row to end the game
Ryan Etsell 1- 0 picked up the win in his first start of the season going five innings allowing just two runs only one earned on two hits The loss was charged to Hot Rods' starter Jake Faria 0- 1 while Joey Krehbiel 2 picked up the save With the win the Bees improve to 4- 2 for the season
