Tuesday, November 7 Eagles 3 @ Tulsa Oilers 2
The Eagles scored the final three goals of the game to beat the Tulsa Oilers 3-2 at the Tulsa Convention Center. Riley Nelson capped the comeback on a backhand goal with 5:14 remaining in the third period to give the Eagles their fifth straight victory and first win on the road. Sean Robertson and Garrett Larson had the other two goals for Colorado and defenseman Brad Williamson had two assists in the game. Marco Emond won his fifth game of the season against his former team saving 27 of 29 shots.
Friday, November 10 Eagles 7 vs. New Mexico Scorpions 6
Colorado beat the New Mexico Scorpions 7-6 Friday night and broke many records in the process. The Eagles came back from a 4-0 deficit in the first period breaking the record for largest deficit overcome, Greg Pankewicz had his third hat trick of the season in just his seventh game and the Eagles scored a record six goals in the second period. Lance Herauf was in the scoring on all six goals for the Scorpions setting the league-lead for most points in a game with his two goals and four assists. Eagles' goaltender Tim Boron came in half way through the game and won his first professional game saving 10 of 11 shots. The Eagles bumped their all-time record to 11-0-3 over New Mexico at the Budweiser Events Center.
Saturday, November 11 Eagles 5 @ New Mexico Scorpions 2
The Eagles defeated the Scorpions 5-2 Saturday night for their seventh straight victory and improved their record to 7-1-0. All of the Eagles five goals were special teams goals including two shorthanded and three power play goals. Colorado leads the Central Hockey League with seven shorthanded goals this season. Riley Nelson had a goal and two assists and Greg Pankewicz had his league-leading 14th goal of the season. Eagles goaltender Tim Boron made his first professional start and saved 35 of 37 shots to improve his record to 2-0-0. Mike Prpich scored both goals for the Scorpions in their third straight loss to the Eagles
Week Ahead
Tuesday, November 14 @ Arizona Sundogs, 7:00 p.m. MST Radio: 107.9 The Bear
The Eagles take on the Sundogs for the third time this season. Arizona traveled to Colorado for a pair of games on November 3 and 4 and was defeated by the Eagles in both contests. Colorado came back from a two-goal deficit on November 3 to beat the Sundogs 5-4 on a game-winning goal by Craig Strain with 2:45 remaining in the final period. The following night, Greg Pankewicz tied an Eagles franchise record with four goals as the Eagles beat the Sundogs 5-2. Including Tuesday night's contest, the Eagles and Sundogs will play six more games this season, twice at the Budweiser Events Center, and four times at the Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
Friday, November 17 @ Rocky Mountain Rage, 7:05 p.m. MST Radio: 107.9 The Bear
The Eagles and Rage face off at the Broomfield Event Center in their second of twelve meetings this season for the first game of a home-and-home weekend. Colorado's lone loss this season was an opening night 5-4 loss to the Rage at the Budweiser Events Center. The Eagles and rage will play four times in nine days in the coming weeks.

Comeback Kids- In five of their seven victories, the Eagles have had to come from behind to win the game. Colorado has overcome a 1-0 deficit twice, a 2-0 deficit twice, and the team set a franchise record overcoming a 4-0 deficit to the New Mexico Scorpions on November 10. The Eagles have been outscored 15-11 in the first period, however they are outscoring their opponents 29-10 in the final two periods.
One More Win- Eagles Vice President and Head Coach Chris Stewart is one win short of becoming the third man in Central Hockey League history to reach 300 wins. Stewart's record is 299-129-42 for a winning percentage of .681. He is third on the CHL's all-time coaching list in wins behind Doug Sauter from Oklahoma City (447) and Bill McDonald from Austin (306) who are both still coaching in the CHL. Stewart's winning percentage is also third all-time in the CHL and his games played (470) is fourth on the list.
Potent Offense- The Eagles are leading the CHL in scoring this season averaging five goals per game. In eight games, Colorado leads the league in goals scored (40), assists (66), points (106), power play goals (21) and shorthanded goals (7).
Get Shorty- The Eagles lead the Central Hockey League with seven shorthanded goals through eight games. The team scored a total of 10 shorthanded goals in all of the 2005-06 season and the team record for shorthanded goals in a season is 12. Riley Nelson and Greg Pankewicz are tied with Austin's John McNabb for the league lead this season with three shorthanded goals apiece.
League Leader- Eagles Captain Greg Pankewicz is averaging nearly three points per game this season. In eight games, the Eagles right winger leads the CHL with 22 points. His 14 goals, 10 power play goals and three shorthanded goals all lead the Central Hockey League.
