LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 1-1-0 OVERALL RECORD: 2-4-2, 6 pts., 4th Place Northwest Division
Nov. 10 vs. Tulsa Oilers, 5-4 Shootout Win - The Rage generated a season-high 53 shots on goal, but needed their first shootout win of the season to defeat the Oilers in their inaugural game at the Broomfield Event Center.
Nov. 11 @ Lubbock Cotton Kings, 3-0 Loss - After hopping on the bus for a nine-hour trip to Lubbock immediately following their thrilling victory in their home opener, the Rage ran into penalty trouble against the Cotton Kings that resulted in 15 shorthanded situations and three power play goals against as they were shutout for the first time in their young history.
THIS WEEK'S UPCOMING GAMES
Tuesday, Nov. 14 vs. Wichita Thunder, 7:05 p.m. MST - It's "Dollar Dog and Beer Night" featuring $1 hot dogs and $1 Budweiser and Bud Light Drafts at the BEC as the Rage play the first of three games in a row against fellow Northwest Division teams. The tape delayed radio broadcast begins at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Z560, Colorado's ESPN.
Friday, Nov. 17 vs. Colorado Eagles, 7:05 p.m. MST - The Rage's season-opening, 5-4 win on Oct. 20 over the Eagles is the only loss Colorado has suffered this season. All fans are asked to wear red to show support of the Rage in the first "Paint the House Red Rivalry Night." The live radio broadcast can be heard on Z560, Colorado's ESPN, beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the pre-game show.
Saturday, Nov. 18 @ Colorado Eagles, 7:05 p.m. MST - The two rivals complete their two-game home-and-home series at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland. The live radio broadcast can be heard on Z560's sister station, AM 670 KLTT, beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the pre-game show.
NOTES
* Nick Warriner earned the distinction of scoring the first goal in Broomfield Event Center history when he lit the lamp five minutes into Friday's shootout win against the Oilers.
* Bret DeCecco, Anders Strome, and Nathan Rosychuk all scored during Friday's shootout with Strome receiving credit for the game-winner after goaltender David Guererra stopped three of four Tulsa shooters.
* Friday's 53 shots on goal were a league season-high until the Oilers yielded 55 shots on goal during a 6-3 win the following night in Wichita against the Thunder.
* Strome leads Rocky Mountain in scoring with nine points, and his seven goals are tied for third in the Central Hockey League as the week begins.
* The Rage are ranked 16th league-wide on the power play (10.9%) and 6th on the penalty kill (83.8%). Dorian Anneck took over the team lead in power play goals when he scored his third of the season during Friday's third period.
