Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release
MUDBUGS SHUTOUT ODESSA, REMAIN UNDEFEATED AT HOME
The Mudbugs had great goaltending between the pipes in their second home game of the year as Ken Carroll made 34 saves to carry the Bugs to victory. It was only the third start of the year for Carroll. Daniel Pegoraro scored both of the games goals, once in the first period and an empty net goal at the end of the game. The 2-0 victory evened the Mudbugs record at .500.
BUGS GET THE JUMP ON AUSTIN, WIN 4-1
The Mudbugs dominated the first period of play, striking first as Daniel Pegoraro would score his third goal in two games to start it off for Bossier-Shreveport. Karlis Zirnis knocked in a rebound to make it 2-0 at the end of the first period. Chris Brassard scored the second shorthanded goal of the year for Bossier-Shreveport in the second period. John DeCaro allowed only one goal. He fought off a voracious Austin forecheck in the second and third period and earned his first regulation win of the season.
OVERTIME THRILLER ENDS IN LOSS AT LAREDO
The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs silenced a rowdy crowd at the Laredo Entertainment Center in the first period on goals by Dan Wildfong and Chris Brassard. Leo Thomas scored at the end of the period and netted the game tying goal in the third to send the game to overtime. The Mudbugs fought hard in the five minute sudden death overtime, but surrendered a one-time goal to Bobby Chaumont. John DeCaro took the OT loss as the Mudbugs picked up five out of a possible six points for the weekend.
