Tuesday, December 28 Eagles 5 @ Odessa Jackalopes 2
In his 900th professional game, Greg Pankewicz scored two goals for the Eagles in a 5-2 victory over the Odessa Jackalopes Tuesday night at the Ector Country Coliseum. Four other Eagles had multiple points in the game highlighted by defenseman Brad Williamson's three assists. Tyler Weiman earned his 14th win of the season saving 27 of 29 shots and the Eagles. The Eagles have never lost to Odessa in their short history going 5-0.
Wednesday, December 29 Eagles 3 @ Amarillo Gorillas 0
Led by the goaltending of Tyler Weiman, the Eagles beat Amarillo 3-0 at the Amarillo Civic Center. Weiman recorded his Central Hockey League-leading fifth shutout and proved why he is the starting goaltender for the Northern Conference in the 2005 CHL All-Star Game. Weiman saved 31 shots in the game and 14 in the third period. The other two Eagles All-Stars, Greg Pankewicz and Kevin Marsh each had a goal in the victory.
Friday, December 31 Eagles 5 vs. New Mexico Scorpions 1
On the eve of 2005, the Eagles finished off 2004 with a bang by beating the Scorpions 5-1 Friday night in front of another sold out crowd at the Budweiser Events Center. Ryan Tobler and Greg Pankewicz each had two goals and one assist, and David Svagrovsky scored his first goal as a professional. The win tied a season-high four game winning streak for the Eagles. Tyler Weiman saved 28 shots for his 15th win of the season. Opposing goaltender Miguel Beaudry saved 40 of 45 shots in the defeat.
Saturday, January 1 Eagles 4 @ Wichita Thunder 5 OT
The Thunder scored with :53 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime, and Jason Duda scored the game winner 1:21 into overtime to beat the Colorado Eagles 5-4 Saturday evening. The Eagles (17-5-5, 39 points) controlled pace of play for most of the game, but Wichita came back every time the Eagles took a lead. Wichita forward Travis Clayton led all scorers with two goals and two assists and now leads the CHL with 49 points. Colorado out shot the Thunder 45-33, but fell just short in what was up to this point, the biggest game of the season.

The Eagles and Tarantulas meet for the meet for the third and fourth time this season. Colorado blanked the Tarantulas 3-0 in the second game of the season on October 23, 2004. Tyler Weiman saved all 31 shots against the first-year club, and three different Eagles scored goals. The Tarantulas got their revenge on November 20,2004 when they beat the Eagles 3-2 in a shootout. Topeka opened up a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals from Mike Lukajic and Vincent Hellemeyer. Eagles right winger Greg Pankewicz tied the game up on two goals of his own in the second period before Lucas Dora won the game in the shootout. The Tarantulas are 11-18-2 for 24 points and stand in fourth place in the Northwest Division. Colorado 17-5-5, 39 points is in second place in the division.
Saturday, January 8 Eagles @ Lubbock Cotton Kings 6:05 p.m. MST Radio-KKPL-99.9 The Point
The Eagles and Cotton Kings have met once thus far in the season with Lubbock beating the Eagles in overtime at the BEC on December 4, 2004. Colorado killed ten power plays in the game before giving up a power play goal to Anders Strome in the extra frame to lose the game 3-2. The Cotton Kings 16-9-2, 34 points are in first place in the Southwest Division. Head coach Chris Dashney and staff will be representing the Southern Conference in the 2005 Dodge CHL All-Star Game on January 12 in Laredo, Texas.
Sunday, January 9 Eagles @ Austin Ice Bats 3:00 p.m. MST Radio-KKPL-99.9 The Point
This is the first meeting between these two teams. Austin is led by right winger John McNabb's 33 points and the goaltending of Matt Barnes, 2.53 GAA and .923 save percentage. The Ice Bats are 13-12-2 for 27 points and are in third place in the Southeast Division of the Southern Conference.

Eagles on Altitude Sports and Entertainment- The Eagles game on Friday, January 7 will be televised by Altitude Sports and Entertainment. Doug McLeod will be handling the play-by-play for the broadcast.
Four-in-Five- The Eagles start another grueling test of four games in five days on Wednesday. This is the second time in as many weeks before the break for the All-Star Game January 10-12.
Five and Counting...- Eagles goaltender Tyler Weiman shutout the Amarillo Gorillas last Wednesday for his CHL-leading fifth shutout of the season. The Eagles have yet to reach the halfway point of the season and had a total of seven shutouts all of last season.
League Leaders- Colorado leads the league in scoring the most goals for (3.63) and giving up the least goals against (2.19).
Streaks- Riley Nelson- Currently on a five-game scoring streak in which he has nine points on five goals and four assists.
Greg Pankewicz- Also on a five-game scoring streak where he has scored ten points on five goals and five assists.
Streak Ended- For a full five games plus, Colorado had not been on the losing side of the scoreboard. Jason Duda's overtime goal against the Eagles on January 1 ended a streak of 301:21 in which Colorado was either tied or in the lead of their opponent.
Top Ten- Eagles right wing Greg Pankewicz (17-24-41) is tied with Fort Worth's Martin Paquet for fourth in the Central Hockey League in scoring with 41 points.
Eagles on The Point- 99.9 FM The Point will broadcast all of the Eagles regular and post-season games this year.
