Moncton N.B. - The Moncton Wildcats begin their quest for the Presidents Cup at 7pm on Friday March 19, when they host the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in game 1 of the best-of-seven series at the Moncton Coliseum to kick off the 2010 Quebec Major Junior league playoffs. Game 2 will follow on Saturday, march 20, at 7pm.
The No. 5 seed in the QMJHL, the Wildcats will host game 1, game 2 and, if necessary, games 5 and 7 in this quarterfinal series. Each game will be carried live on news radio 91.9 fm, and by webcast at www.moncton-wildcats.com.
After the first two games of the series in Moncton, the scene shifts to Centre 200 in Cape Breton for games 3 and 4 ( Tuesday and Wednesday), March 23 and 24, both with a 7pm start.
The Wildcats went 5 and 2 against the Screaming Eagles so far this season with the final game scheduled for tonight at the Coliseum starting at 7pm. This marks the first time the long time rivals will meet in playoff competition.
