Colorado Eagles News Release

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles have announced updates on several players heading into their game tomorrow night against the Rocky Mountain Rage at the Budweiser Events Center (7:05). The Rage are currently in first place in the Northwest Division and lead the Eagles by 5 points (19-14).

Eagles captain, Greg Pankewicz, will be back in the lineup after serving a one-game suspension for an additional aggravator penalty in his fight against Oklahoma City's Michael Kaye.

Forwards Ryan Tobler, Chris Hartsburg and Fraser Filipic, however, will remain on the IR. Tobler and Hartsburg's injuries are long-term, while Filipic is day-to-day. Filipic will be joined on the day-to-day list, but not on the IR, by Les Borsheim. Borsheim, a natural defenseman, has been playing forward the past five games in an effort to help an injury-ravaged front unit.

With Borsheim's status up in the air, the Eagles have brought back camp standout, Mike Lukajic. Lukajic, a developmental forward, earned CHL honors as a rookie, being named to the 2004-2005 CHL All-Rookie Team, and was also named an all-star in 2005. In camp earlier this year, Lukajic scored the winning goal in a shootout during the Eagles intra-squad charity game at the Greeley Ice Haus.

Lukajic entered the league with the now-defunct Topeka Tarantulas in 2004-05; he led the team in goals (33) and points (53), and tied for second in assists (20). He has also played in the CHL for the Oklahoma City Blazers (twice), the Corpus Christi Rayz and the Tulsa Oilers.
