Colorado Eagles News Release
WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced today, the signing of developmental forward Mike Lukajic. Lukajic (luke-a-CHICK), a Mississauga, Ontario native, is a former CHL all-star and was in camp with the Eagles. Lukajic earned CHL honors as a rookie, being named to the 2004-2005 CHL All-Rookie Team, and was also named an all-star in 2005.
In camp earlier this year, Lukajic scored the winning goal in a shootout during the Eagles intra-squad charity game at the Greeley Ice Haus. Lukajic entered the league with the now-defunct Topeka Tarantulas in 2004-05; he led the team in goals (33) and points (53), and tied for second in assists (20). He has also played in the CHL for the Oklahoma City Blazers (twice), the Corpus Christi Rayz and the Tulsa Oilers.
