ODESSA, TX- The Southern Conference Leading Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will look to snap their two-game losing streak as they finish up their three-game, eight day road trip in Odessa Wednesday. Game time is 7:05pm.

The Bucks will look to snap their two-game losing streak Wednesday as they take on the 'Jacks in the first of four meetings between the two clubs this season.
After starting 10-0 the Bucks have lost two straight, and three of their last four games. The Bucks lost at Rocky Mountain 4-1 Friday night, then 5-4 at Colorado Saturday night. Laredo trailed by scores of 3-0 and 4-1 against Colorado, before tying the game in the third period only to have the Eagles Dave Iannazzo score a power-play goal with just over four minutes to play, giving Colorado the win. Jeff Bes and James Hiebert led the Bucks offense with one goal and one assist apiece, with Steve Simoes and Igor Agarunov picking up one goal each. Andrew Desjardins handed out two assists.
Both Bucks goalies saw action in the loss Saturday, with Kevin Beech stopping 21 of 25 shots he faced, before being replaced by Dustin Traylen with the Laredo down 4-1 in the second period. Traylen stopped 20 of 21 Eagles shots he faced in taking the loss in net.
Wednesday's match-up between Laredo and Odessa will feature five of the CHL's top 10 scorers. Bes (11-16=27) is second, with Odessa's Dominic Leveille (10-14=24), and Nathan Ward (7-17=24) tied for third, while 'Jacks forward Sebastien Thinel (11-11=22) is sixth, and Bucks forward Chris Korchinski (7-12=19 )is tied for ninth. Leveille was named CHL player of the week last week with four goals and four assists in three games for the 'Jacks.
Bucks captain Serge Dube (5-9=14) is tied for first in scoring among all-CHL defensemen, and rookie Brent MacSween still leads the CHL in power-play goals with six.
Odessa is coming off of a 5-4 shootout loss in Austin on Saturday, with Leveille and Thinel each scoring a goal and handing out an assist. Alexandre Vincent took the loss in net for the 'Jacks, stopping 32 of 36 Ice Bats shots in regulation and overtime, and setting aside 10 of Austin's 13 shootout attempts.
After the game the Bucks will travel back to Laredo for Thanksgiving before hosting the New Mexico Scorpions Friday and Saturday at the LEC.
**Bucks Notes**
*Bucks sixth-year defenseman Steve Weidlich was activated from the 30-day IR, and will be in the line-up Wednesday seeing his first action of the season. Weidlich was injured in Laredo's second pre-season game in Austin. To make room for Weidlich on the active roster, defenseman David Walker was placed on the 30-day IR.
*Second-year forward Jeff Genovy and rookie defenseman Tyler Harder can be activated from the IR this week, no decision has been made as to when the two will be in the line-up.
*Laredo is 1-27 on the power-play during their last five games. For the season the Bucks are 16-85 (18%) with the man advantage.
*The Bucks lead the CHL in all three team offensive categories, with 65 goals, 112 assists, and 177 points.
* At 11-3 (22 points), the Bucks have their best record through the first 14 games of the season in team history. The Bucks previous best start was in the 2003-04 season, when they started 10-3-1 (21 points).
* The Bucks are 8-0 this season when leading after two periods. Conversely, Laredo is just 1-3 when they trail after two periods.
