WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced Wednesday that they have signed Alex Hudson for the 2013-14 season. The 6-foot, 210-pound forward split time last season between the Bakersfield Condors and the Alaska Aces. The 26 year-old native of Corona, California scored 14 goals and added 9 assists in his 59 ECHL games during the 2012-13 campaign. He would go on to generate another five points in 11 post-season contests with the Aces, finishing the playoffs at a plus-4.

Hudson spent four seasons at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where he posted 82 points in 130 games with the Mavericks. After wrapping up his collegiate career, Hudson notched 9 points in 20 games with the Bakersfield Condors and went on to appear in 15 games in the AHL with the Manchester Monarchs during the 2011-12 season.

Hudson is the 12th forward to sign with the Eagles for the upcoming season and is the 21st player now under contract with the team.

"I'm very excited, I feel blessed to have this opportunity," said Hudson. "From an outsider's perspective, when I would come in to play Colorado, it always looked like a very well-run organization with great fans, a lot of skilled players and tremendous coaching. I'm looking forward to doing whatever I can to help this team win," added Hudson.
