Eagles Assigned Defenseman Sam Jardine from San Antonio

LOVELAND, CO. - The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, announced Wednesday that defenseman Sam Jardine has been assigned to the Eagles by the team's AHL affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound blueliner has posted three goals and two assists in 27 games with the Rampage this season. Jardine made his professional debut last season with the Indy Fuel, posting two goals and three assists. A former 6th round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks, Jardine also appeared in six games with the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL during the 2015-16 season.

The Lacombe, Alberta native spent three seasons at Ohio State University, registering 32 points in 98 games and spending his senior season as an alternate captain for the Buckeyes. Jardine also spent two seasons at the junior level with the Camrose Kodiaks of the AJHL. In 104 games with the Kodiaks he would notch 52 points, while also being named to the AJHL All-Rookie Team in 2011 and the AJHL All-Star Team in 2012.

The Eagles begin a three-game series against the Idaho Steelheads at CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho on Wednesday, January 11th at 7:10pm MT.
